Climb Kalamazoo
Please contact Dave M. mountainhyker@yahoo.com or Kathleen K. kroll_@yahoo.com if you are interested in climbing at Climb Kalamazoo, downtown Kalamazoo. Days and frequency are open. They are trying to gauge the interest of club members for indoor climbing this winter. The last couple of years there was initial interest, but diminished after the first couple of weeks. Last winter we climbed every other week. They want your input, week days, weekends, how often? Approximate cost is $12 plus equipment if needed. The club does have some climbing equipment. We will go through mid March.

Utah Hiking Trip
Joan F. would like to lead a trip to Utah, visiting The Arches and Canyonland National Parks. Maybe a day raft trip? Open to any other ideas. This would be a trip for all levels of experience. The parks offer both easy and hard hikes. Camping can be done in both parks, but backpacking is not necessary. I would probably drive to Utah and include any interested members and all camping gear, so that would not be a problem. I am thinking of early to mid October. There are flights into Salt Lake City, Utah and Flagstaff, Arizona. The driving distance is about the same to Moab, Utah, where the parks are located. If you are interested in this trip, please contact Joan f. See newsletter for e-mail address. |
